Chuck, I realize that this Jesus quest discipleship program is something you are starting in May. I would love to be a part. However, the group of people I would be interested in discipling are inmates. I have been writing several women who have committed their lives to Christ and will be released soon. However, the women I write are not released at the same time. Sometimes their release dates are fickle.
Is there any way you can train people like me on the modules; then I could offer the discipleship training to women who are released and trying to live on the outside? I encourage these women to find local churches. However, a discipleship program like this would be incredible for them.
Hi Pastor Chuck, Sarita said she will contact you sometime in August to follow up on this opportunity. I just showed her this video and she was shaking her head "yes" to all of it. She has just been announced as the Associate Pastor of Missions/Outreach and Discipleship at Bridgeport UMC here in our hometown. It is the largest UMC in WV. Unfortunately, she has to finish her Residency program at WVU Medical Center before she can start. She also begins her Doctorate program for Missional Leadership at PTS in June so how she will find time to accomplish anything is beyond me, but she always does:) It sounds like exciting times! Talk to you later. - Wade
