Summer is a special time for us here in Southeast Asia. The kids are out of school and have more free time, and that is the season for outreach. We go up into the mountains, into villages, and on to college campuses to do outreaches and hold camps and invest large amounts of time with young people.
We do this to start off their transformation. First, we want to get to know them as persons and earn their trust. Then we want to invite them to discover Jesus and go through discipleship and enter into a year-long program of personal and spiritual development.
It all starts in the summers, and that’s why this is such a crucial time for us, because it is the launch pad for our ministry in their lives for the rest of the year. Because it is so essential and our outreaches are wide-ranging, summer is always a time of financial strain.
These outreaches matter! That’s why we are kicking off today a 45-day sprint to raise $45,000 for a year of outreach in the lives of children and young people.
The fight for this generation is not primarily political, economic, or social — it is spiritual. And spiritual battles require spiritual weapons. Emerge Missions deploys workers into the 10/40 Window not simply to meet physical needs, but to bring the transforming power of Jesus Christ to young people whose identity, hope, and future are under direct attack.
Every prayer prayed, every dollar given, and every worker sent is an act of spiritual warfare on behalf of a generation that desperately needs someone to fight for them.
